The Senior Accountant is responsible for components of the monthly close process and preparation of financial reporting schedules, monthly reconciliations, internal reporting packages, filings, and various other deliverables on a timely basis. This position plays an active role in accounting research, implementation and documentation.
Key Performance Elements:
- Assist in the monthly close process including recording journal entries
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and financial analysis schedules
- Prepare/assist in creating the Company’s internal reporting packages
- Prepare quarterly earnings release schedules which include an analysis of operating results and key balance sheet items
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly reports and related review and audit schedules
- Perform technical accounting research, prepare documentation and assist in implementation
- Prepare documentation for and coordinate with audit teams
- Assist in various projects and initiatives
Requirements:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Master’s degree preferred
- Active CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Public accounting experience required, Big 4 experience preferable
- Excellent Excel and Word skills required
- Experience with Oracle and Hyperion Essbase is a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking/problem solving
- Ability to work independently, prioritize deliverables and manage time to meet required deadlines
- Flexibility and adaptability, willingness to collaborate with others and contribute as a member of a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Work Experience:
3 – 5 years of accounting experience with an emphasis in financial reporting
