Your Role 
The Neiman Marcus Corporate Payroll team is looking for an experienced payroll and tax specialist. You will ensure accurate processing of payroll and payroll tax functions on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis. You'll report to the Payroll Manager. 
What You'll Do 
•    Ensure preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end federal, state and local tax payroll tax returns is accurate (including 940, 941 and W-3’s)
•    Process end-to-end payroll processes for multiple payroll schedules · Ensure accurate processing of benefits and miscellaneous deductions
•    Research year-end related requests and process corrections to wages/W2s
•    Keep abreast of all tax updates related to payroll tax and maintain systems with updates.
•    Analyze incoming correspondence from Federal, State, and Local Agencies regarding payroll tax and sales tax and resolve any issues.
•    Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the payroll/accounting areas
•    Participate in special projects within the HR Department  
•    Receive and respond to payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
•    Collaborate with Finance on the payroll general ledger processing and audits 
What You Bring 
•    Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-state payroll processing, tax filing, and accounting practices
•    Experience with full-cycle payroll, processing, corrections, FLSA, OT, taxes (multi-state and reciprocity), employee payroll tax maintenance, ex-pats, non-health and welfare deductions, gross-to-net calculations, taxable fringe benefit, year-end W-2s, W-2cs, and other related payroll tax tasks
•    Experience handling employee benefit deductions and processing
•    Demonstrated experience running full-cycle payroll in ADP Enterprise HR
•    Experience using query tools to access data and create reports
•    Manage multiple human resources and payroll data tables to extract specific data for reporting purposes
