What You’ll Do 

  • Provide protection of all company assets including people, property, and information systems.
  • Conduct investigations relating to employee dishonesty & unethical activity, credit fraud, workplace violence, and other incidents.
  • Respond to emergency situations such as medical, fire, weather, and security-related incidents.
  • Interact with law enforcement agencies and emergency service personnel as needed.
  • Enforce Loss Prevention Policy & Procedures, Merchandise Protection Standards, and Safety.
  • Identify associates and other authorized personnel entering the facility using an access control system, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining sign-in logs.  
  • Monitor facility using CCTV and control access to shipping & receiving docks and all other key areas in the facility.
  • Perform interior /exterior patrols of the facility to prevent and detect security breaches, safety hazards and ensure the security of doors, gates, trailers, etc.
  • Conduct audits to control shrinkage while providing awareness programs for all associates within the facility. 

 

What You Bring 

  • One or more years of Loss Prevention experience preferred or equivalent education in the Criminal Justice field.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with associates, visitors, and vendors.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Computer skills on a variety of programs.
  • Excellent written communication skills and proficiency with standard office applications such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
  • Ability to operate safety & security equipment, including but not limited to: handheld radios, fire extinguishers, fire protection systems, video surveillance systems, burglar alarm systems, electronic access control systems, flashlights, and physical restraint devices. 

 

Special requirements of the facility 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Duties may require the employee to work outdoors, during inclement weather, and during hours of darkness/low light. The employee may be required to occasionally stoop, bend or kneel. Upon request, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with qualified disabilities to perform the essential functions.
