Your Role 

Neiman Marcus is seeking a proven and passionate Director to lead our newly upgraded and expanded FC in Pittston, PA. This is a high visibility position overseeing Neiman’s largest FC servicing our east region. 


Director Fulfillment is an experienced supply chain operations executive who is responsible for generating strategic and tactical direction of the Fulfillment center.  This position will direct and develop the Sr. Managers, Group Managers and Exempt Leadership within the FC and will report into the VP Supply Chain.

Neiman Marcus Group (NMG) is undergoing a major supply chain transformation as we invest over $85 million in supply chain innovation over the next two years, specifically in warehouse and order management system upgrades, upgrading our FC network and material handling network, and increasing the size, speed, capacity, and efficiency of our remaining distribution centers. 


What You’ll Do 

  • Set the strategic plan for the Fulfillment center that supports overall Supply Chain Operations goals and objectives.
  • Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the building’s operations.
  • Review and approve forecasted staffing plans to ensure staffing plans are forecasted sufficiently to meet business demands for workload and performance results and are implemented timely.
  • Work with leaders across the company on strategic initiatives for supply chain and the broader organization as well as ability to influence across the organization and business partners to drive results
  • Develop and direct leaders to ensure the timely and accurate processing of merchandise to be distributed to stores and customers.
  • Implement improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization.
  • Develop leaders in their organization to drive strong metric performance, culture and engagement of teams and system knowledge.
  • Proven track record of talent management – developing talent, holding talent accountable, building bench strength and succession planning.
  • Ability to lead teams effectively through the change management process and communicate effectively across the organization.
  • Communicate with partners across the organization to include merchant organizations, finance, IT, Group Operations, Loss Prevention and stores.
  • Ability to gather and examine the right data and analytics to determine business effectiveness.
  • Prepare, manage and meet financial budget expectations.
  • Requires attention to detail; strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task; ability to work independently; proficiency with PC applications (Outlook 365, etc.) excellent communication skills. 
  • Support all safety programs, OSHA compliance and regulatory compliance initiatives to ensure a safe and compliant work environment, as well as serve as the community liaison 

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 7+ years of operational leadership experience in the Supply Chain field
  • Oversee operations with a minimum of 350 employees
  • Experience working with warehouse and labor management systems
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Highly engaging leader with an ability to get results through others and the ability to build relationships across organizational lines
  • Adept at working in a fast pace environment and dealing with ambiguity
  • A high financial and business acumen augmented by experience in strategic updates to senior leadership (VP and above) 

Preferred Requirements 

  • Master’s degree with a focus in Business, Supply Chain or Finance
  • 10+ years of operational leadership experience in the Supply Chain field with 5+ years running a large automated Distribution or Fulfillment Center
  • Oversee operations with 500+ employees
  • Proficient at forecasting models, budget planning and full P&L ownership
  • Experience with Lean Principles, Labor Management and Manhattan WMS 

Position requires less than 10% travel
