Vice President, Marketing Strategy & Intelligence
A critical new role in the Marketing Group and a reimagining of the previous Marketing VP role. Responsible for the effectiveness of marketing. Define and align marketing strategies to balance short term revenue goals with long term brand value and other corporate goals. Interpret and leverage all market signals from consumer culture/zeitgeist, customer data, consumer research and category trends (fashion/product/service) to define the branded content direction and inspire creativity while leading the transformation to more individualized customer strategies and optimized marketing ROI.
Responsibilities:
Envisions and leads the execution of a cohesive NMB marketing strategy that accounts for both consumer and cultural insight to set direction and inspiration for creative and customer centric brand expressions
Oversees performance of NMB marketing and content strategy against brand marketing budget / ROI models
Partners closely with Digital to define the optimal NMB audience strategy – both who to engage and how to engage them – based on a cohesive journey that accounts for the motivations, influences and actions of customers
Partners closely with Fashion & Lifestyle Director under the direction of both Chief Merchandising Officer and Chief Marketing Officer to inject the NMB Fashion & Lifestyle POV while balancing data and consumer/culture insights to drive customer relevance in all facets of the NM marketing strategy across all channels
Oversees the management of our brand partner program, ensuring high quality strategies and value creation for partners
Drives the successful stand up and execution of the NMB brand publishing strategy, ensuring brand partner understanding and engagement with NMB’s customer segments
Skills and Experiences:
15+ years experience in marketing and strategy roles. Currently working as a VP in an agency or a Group Director in a large corporation or higher
Has led a reasonable size team of diverse talent and marketing capabilities
Will have worked both in an agency strategy role(brand, digital or media) and also ideally with a company in a marketing team. Has strong consumer research and analysis experience with an appreciation for marketing creativity
Must be able to translate consumer understanding and data to insight for meaningful application with creative teams.
Skilled at leveraging the powers of creative content, experience and storytelling to engage customers in relevant ways
Capable of leading and drawing the best from diverse mix of experts
Understand media, channel marketing, performance metrics, audience segmentation, communication and content strategies.
Analytically articulate and creatively savvy, but above all else, they will be customer obsessed and look at the world through the lens of the customer first.
