Job Title: Sr. Engineer, Cloud Center of Excellence

JOB LOCATIONS: 111 Customer Way, Irving, TX 75039 but REMOTE
Minimum Experience: 8 years
NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK: 40 Hours per week
Must Have
- Exceptional end user skills, and able to interact with all levels within the enterprise. Use various tools and technologies that include Java, J2EE, AWS micro services, AWS, AWS Lambda and API Gateway, Cloud formation, VPCs, Bastion, ECS (Service deployment utility), Fargate, Jenkins, Rabbit MQ, Elastic search, Splunk, Dynatrace, Cassandra.
- Ideally someone who has come from on prem to cloud migration with serverless experience
- Strong experience in Linux/Windows Systems Engineer and who has the last few years work in a DevOps infrastructure environment as a lead Engineer
- Proven Enterprise level experience both on prem and cloud experience
- Savvy AWS Cloud infrastructure. Develop AWS cloud infrastructure for Neiman Marcus digital platform services.
- Provide infrastructure support for web applications and continuously monitor them.
- Infrastructure development in Agile Methodology, Integration and defect fixing.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and Dockers both back end and front end.
- Deploy the applications using continuous deployment and automation.
- Experience with Python scripting (or any other scripting languages)
- Experience with Git
- IAAS and PAAS - Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service
- Must have Cloud Automation experience (Terraform/Chef/Ansible)
- Leadership, take charge of attitude, able to turn problems into solutions.
- Able to manage multiple projects and aggressive project deadlines with minimal supervision
- Be able to collaborate with team and other within the enterprise.
- Solid work ethic and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of Hands-on, proven expertise with developing technical solutions involving multiple applications to solve business and production needs.
- 5 years of experience with cloud environments and services such as AWS;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in working within teams and among stakeholders. Expertise in Linux, MacOS, and/or Windows systems administration in a professional environment.
- Ability to guide others and set the strategy for engineering and systems engineering operations. Encompass a strong development background in one or more languages. Must possess expert level writing automation using Chef, ansible, terraform or other SCM tools
- Expert knowledge and ability to guide and set the strategy for Git or similar distribute
- version control systems as well as with Continuous Integration/Deployment techniques.
- 3 years of experience in building CI/CD pipeline automation in tools like Jenkins/Cloud bees with scripting languages such as Groovy, Ruby, or Python.
- 3 years of hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration.
- 3 years of practical experience working in DevOps team/organizations with applied Agile development practices.
- Ability to lead and set the strategy for troubleshooting applications and systems using various technologies such as AppDynamics, New Relic, Graphite and Logstash or Splunk.
- Expertise in Terraform, Chef, Nimbus, F5, Akamai, Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, Memcached, Redis, Elasticsearch and Rabbit MQ· Expert knowledge and ability to set the strategy to work in query and visualize data using tools like Grafana, Kibana, and/or Elasticsearch. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Expert understanding of TCP/IP networks, troubleshooting, and related technologies.
- Strong, demonstrated skills in the following at a minimum: AWS, Chef, Docker, Terraform, Elasticsearch, Rabbit MQ, Angular.js, Node.js, Spring/Java, Run deck.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree in computer science or equivalent
- Master’s degree preferred.
