Shipping Coordinator

DESCRIPTION
Responsible for assisting the Shipping Manager with customer service, work distribution, troubleshooting client issues, staff development, ensuring all client sends to go out, and FedEx issues.
Responsible for keeping track of daily numbers for same-day service, negotiating quotes with freight carriers
Job Duties
- Teamwork: Reporting directly to the Shipping Manager and working alongside other Shipping Coordinators.
- Shipping: Assisting various departments with their shipping needs; expect to manage a high volume of shipping requests all while exercising an elevated level of due diligence and best practices.
- Pre-sale Shipping: Procuring shipping quotes from third-party shipping companies / and then executing on all approved shipments by mediating between all parties involved.
- Post-sale Shipping: Handling & packing sold property / arranging to ship sold property / and releasing property from our premises to the shipping carrier.
- Courier Accounts: Managing our FedEx and Messenger accounts to assist various departments with their shipping needs - including quoting the shipping costs / creating shipping labels / international shipments / and overseeing the release & receipt of parcels from the premises.
- Customer Service: Collaborating closely with the Client Service team to manage claims and client returns.
- Supplemental Responsibilities: In addition to the tasks and responsibilities listed above, you may be required to perform other duties as assigned by your manager.

· High school diploma/equivalency required. Excellent verbal/written skills with a minimum of one year's retail/manufacturing experience with prior receiving experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity is essential. Individuals must have good organizational skills, conflict resolution/problem-solving abilities; possess a professional demeanor, and basic sales knowledge.
