You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert on loyalty data, working on complex and critical analytics efforts to support strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Do

  • Write, refine, and optimize advanced SQL queries to support loyalty program reporting and analytics, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze customer and transaction data to generate insights that support loyalty program strategies, performance tracking, and optimization.
  • Develop robust reporting frameworks that align with business needs, focusing on loyalty KPIs, program participation, and customer retention metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization, including marketing, operations, and finance, to support loyalty program initiatives and decision-making.
  • Provide detailed analyses of loyalty program performance, including spend trends, redemption rates, tier movement, and program ROI.
  • Ensure data accuracy by conducting validation and troubleshooting across datasets and outputs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in loyalty reporting, including automation and standardization of queries.
  • Serve as a technical and analytical resource for loyalty reporting, answering data-related questions and guiding stakeholders on best practices.
  • Actively support ad-hoc requests for loyalty data and reporting while maintaining tight deadlines and prioritization of tasks.

  • Advanced SQL expertise, with demonstrated ability to write and optimize complex queries, including joins, subqueries, and window functions.
  • Strong understanding of loyalty program KPIs and metrics, including customer lifetime value, spend analysis, retention rates, and redemption metrics.
  • Experience working with large datasets, ensuring data quality and resolving discrepancies effectively.
  • Ability to effectively translate business requirements into actionable data queries and insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality work on time.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, SQL Developer, or similar role, with a focus on loyalty program or transactional data analysis.
  • 2+ years of advanced SQL experience, including writing and optimizing queries involving joins, CTEs, and window functions.
  • Experience with large-scale data environments (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of loyalty program reporting, data structures, and key business metrics.
  • Proficiency in Python or a similar language for data manipulation and automation is preferred.
  • Strong experience in collaborating across multiple business units and supporting various stakeholders with data-driven insights.
  • Experience in the retail or e-commerce industry, specifically in loyalty or customer analytics.
  • Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization platforms for presenting query results (though the primary focus is on writing queries).
