The Lead Receiving Associate supports the Sales Support Manager, Operations by overseeing all aspects of the shipping and receiving of merchandise. 
  • This lead supports the omnichannel approach by providing a seamless shopping experience to both the online and in store customer. The Receiving Lead may also act as a Manager on Duty and assist in leading the store’s daily operations.
  • Process store receipts to be floor ready:  hung, sensored and ticketed appropriately
  • Receive various trucks and process incoming merchandise in an efficient, and organized manner
  • Return defective/broken goods to original source for claims
  • Process damaged goods for inventory control
  • Communicate with appropriate division regarding shipment delays and errors
  • Assist with inventory balances of shipped merchandise
  • Work closely with Store Management and Associates to fulfill customer orders and transfers in a timely manner
  • Perform Manager on Duty responsibilities when scheduled, including overseeing total store operations, responding to customer service issues, prioritizing and delegating associate workload and responding to staffing concerns appropriately
  • Support the onboarding process for new associates and deliver technical training in areas of expertise
  • Objectively assess associate performance and provide feedback to management to address development opportunities
  • Foster a positive work environment by delivering recognition
  • Box merchandise and package for shipment with appropriate outbound paperwork
  • Field calls from customer service on order changes including address changes, cancellations, and customer issues
  • Serve as a liaison between the online fulfillment center and store operations
  • Follow all safety procedures on the dock and in all other work areas
Perform other duties as required
  • Receiving Leads must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business need, which will include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • 3+ years of receiving experience, prefer experience in retail
  • Must have the ability to communicate with people and be multitask oriented
  • Must have strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Requires the ability to perform general math computations
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Capable of lifting material of up to 35 pounds
