Director, Merchandising Strategies
Role Summary
Serves as a strategist and consultant to the President, Chief Merchandising Officer
Leads, drives and coordinates the execution of key merchandising strategies & initiatives
Supports the President, Chief Merchandising Officer
by working to solve problems, mediate disputes, and deal with issues so they do not require the President/CMO’s attention
Partners with Merchandising leaders and cross-functional teams to obtain required support and eliminate obstacles
Builds an analytical framework to support growth strategy and investment opportunity decisions
Prepares documents to support Board of Director and other key meetings
Establishes and manages a meeting and communication cadence
Consolidates and synthesizes information across the business
Candidate Requirements
Retail strategy, process, project or consulting experience
Impeccable managerial and interpersonal skills
Proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management
Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments
Flexible, versatile and action-oriented
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently
Able to interpret and synthesize data to reach conclusions and develop recommendations
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
