Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in communications, English, journalism, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 - 10 years’ experience in media relations, press strategy development, execution, and team leadership.
- Fashion and or retail experience essential
- Strong New York, Los Angeles and national-based press contacts and relationships.
- Excellent writing and editing skills a must
- Prior supervisor experience and strong leadership skills.
- Experience negotiating and defining celebrity contracts and managing delivery of agreements
- Excellent relationship management (internally and externally) as well as interpersonal skills: display superior judgment and diplomatic skills.
- Proven strong negotiating skills.
- Enthusiasm, commitment to excellence, self-motivation, a professional demeanor is highly organized and detail oriented.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks with organization and accuracy.
- A collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
- Data-driven, results focused with knowledge of media monitoring and management platforms (Cision, BurrellesLuce, Sprinklr, TrendKite, etc).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), internet research and strong knowledge of social media.
