Copywriter
Job Summary
This person has the ability to write and edit copy for cross-channel assets, including print, digital, email, app, and social. The right candidate will be able to deliver engaging, focused, accurate copy for a wide variety of projects; own assignments from concept to initial draft to deployment with oversight/input from leadership; respond quickly and accurately to requested revisions; and participate, with oversight, in the evolution of our brand voice.
Job Duties
• Research and gather information about products, competitors, and cultural and fashion trends.
• Write clear, concise, engaging copy for marketing, editorial, and seasonal campaigns.
• Self-edit and proof to ensure information is factually and grammatically correct and, most importantly, on brand.
• Develop productive, collaborative partnerships with creative teams, fellow writers, marketing teams, and merchants.
• Attend creative planning and strategy meetings and stay up to date on trends in luxury fashion, news, pop culture, beauty, and home to better inform writing projects.
• Respond to and accurately execute revisions as requested from multiple layers of leadership.
• Work with internal teams to ensure copy is delivered consistently across channels.
Job Requirements
• Minimum three years’ experience writing editorial copy for websites and/or print marketing.
• Bachelor’s degree with major or minor in advertising, marketing, journalism, or English, or commensurate professional experience in those fields.
• Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
• Positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude.
• Ability to write quickly, accurately, and creatively under pressure.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to adapt to change and make last-minute revisions based on business needs and direction.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft 365 a plus.
