JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Interior Maintenance
    • Create design interpretation packages for hand-off to internal Production team.
    • Coordinate plan check process for incorporating team comments as needed.
    • Ensure timely submission of project to meet pre-determined financial approval dates.
  • Vendor Shop Projects
    • Create design interpretation packages for hand-off to internal Production team.
    • Main point of contact for vendor partner as they prepare the required construction documents.
    • Coordinate plan check process and return of redline comments to vendor.
    • Coordinate with internal Production team to issue consolidated Construction documents to Construction team for bidding and implementation.
  • Minor/Major Remodels & New Stores:
    • Develop square footage program noting existing, proposed, and comparison data.
    • Create Scope Pricing packages as required to receive preliminary project price estimates.
    • Create block plan, preliminary, and final merchandise plans.
    • Interact with Merchant Leadership and Store Management to gain necessary approvals to move to next step in process.
    • Coordinate with internal Production team or outside Design Consultant for preparation of comprehensive Construction Document set.
    • Fixture design/development as required.
    • Site visits, review of RFIs, creation of punch lists as required.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related Design field
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of retail store planning/design experience with a major department/specialty store or design firm
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong space planning/merchandising skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal including strong group presentation skills
  • Solid computer skills including AutoCAD (or similar CAD program), Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to execute assigned tasks with minimal or limited supervision
  • Ability to communicate ideas by sketching or hand drafting
  • Ability to be part of a team or lead a team effort as required
  • Salesforce or similar enterprise database experience a plus
  • Knowledge of merchandise fixture design and/or construction detailing a plus
