Director, Merchandising Strategies

Role Summary

• Serves as a strategist and consultant to the President, Chief Merchandising Officer

• Leads, drives and coordinates the execution of key merchandising strategies & initiatives

• Supports the President, Chief Merchandising Officer

  by working to solve problems, mediate disputes, and deal with issues so they do not require the President/CMO’s attention

• Partners with Merchandising leaders and cross-functional teams to obtain required support and eliminate obstacles

• Builds an analytical framework to support growth strategy and investment opportunity decisions

• Prepares documents to support Board of Director and other key meetings

• Establishes and manages a meeting and communication cadence

• Consolidates and synthesizes information across the business

Candidate Requirements

• Retail strategy, process, project or consulting experience

• Impeccable managerial and interpersonal skills

• Proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management

• Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments

• Flexible, versatile and action-oriented

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work independently

• Able to interpret and synthesize data to reach conclusions and develop recommendations

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
