Your Role 

The Vice President, General Manager drives the sales and profitability of a Neiman Marcus store. They do this by effectively leading towards the shared goal of all Associates: to maximize store profitability by providing an exceptional sales experience. This role is also responsible for clearly communicating and guiding the team to achieve corporate objectives.  The GM reports to the Regional Vice President of the North and this will be an onsite role based in the King of Prussia location. 

What You'll Do 

  • Responsible for people, product and placement, and sales promotion for entire store
  • Tailors leadership style to set expectations and coach for growth for different levels of direct reports  
  • Ensure team members are aware of the store vision, goals, and expectations
  • Champion NMG culture and leads by example to create an atmosphere where customer service is consistent with Neiman Marcus standards
  • Partner with Store Leadership team and Regional team to fulfill store strategic efforts
  • Drive towards the achievement of maximum sales and growth following company vision and values in partnership with other functional leads for the entire store
  • Oversee Store Leadership team execution, anticipating and adjusting for risks and roadblocks to maintain excellence
  • Analyze and develop understanding of internal and external customer behavior, trends, and preferences, adjusting processes and standards where necessary.
  • Plan and implement store budget and see to it that guidelines are being followed to minimize operating expenses and maximize revenue
  • Partner with Merchant and Planning Organization Leaders and Regional team to determine appropriate strategies and action plans for the store to produce positive results 

What You Bring 

  • 14+ years of relevant experience, luxury retail fashion experience preferred
  • Prior retail senior management experience required
  • Experience holding full profit and loss accountability preferred
  • Demonstrated change leadership within team and organization
  • Proven track record achieving results across multiple businesses
  • History of building, leading, motivating, and coaching teams
  • Previous experience navigating complex business problems, collaborating with leads across corporate functions, presenting at the executive level, working with corporate business partners, and leading cross-functional large scale initiatives
  • Certain roles may require standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds
  • Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business need, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
