Neiman Marcus has an immediate opening for a Staff Software Engineer. This Lead Engineer provides functional application support, configuration and new process realization within our Merchandising and Sale Audit functions of Oracle RMS and ReSA applications. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of efforts to enable new state of the art technology solutions in the merchandising and sales audit area in support of strategic initiatives throughout the IT environment.
This is a technology engineering role focused on designing, developing, deploying and maintaining Merchandising and Sales Audit applications and enhancements that meet business requirements with scalability, reliability, performance and security. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency to deliver projects within Oracle RMS and ReSA.
Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities
Provide primary support and enhancements to the Oracle RMS and ReSA modules
Adhere to software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations
Design scalable and reliable solutions for moving data efficiently across systems from various internal and external data sources in the batch and real-time mode
Be a solutions expert within and across Oracle RMS and ReSA Environments
Leads solution design, considering risks, mitigations, performance, user experience, and testability along with architects
Ensure designs are aligned with best engineering practices by partnering closely with Solution Architects
Work closely on the merchandising team along with other engineers in a collaborative environment to configure systems and deliver technical solutions adhering to business requirements
Contribute to story grooming, refinement and corresponding software/system design in addition to implementation
Coaches, mentors and develops junior members in the job family on design techniques and coding standards to increase productivity and cultivate innovation
Heavy collaboration with Cross-functional teams within IT and business partners
Understands technical architecture of Oracle RMS and ReSA applications and participates in cross functional design
Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
Responsible for translating use cases and/or technical specifications into test cases to drive software quality
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree Required in Computer Science or related field
8+ years’ work experience in technology
3+ years of requirements gathering, process design, configuration, functional design, testing, conversion and deployment experience
2+ years’ experience in engineering roles implementing Oracle RMS and ReSA modules and enhancements
Functional experience with Merchandising and Sales Audit business processes.
Process oriented with high attention to detail
Good experience integrating internal and external systems using real-time messaging and ETL integration tools
Strong Oracle Relational database experience with SQL Query analysis
Advance proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook & Power Point
Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be a self-starter and have the desire to learn and grow
Experience working with Project Management tools (Jira, Atlassian)
Team player with a positive attitude
