Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with the security and compliance organizations to make recommendations on technology and controls to achieve a higher maturity level within the organization
  • Design, build and maintain security controls within the organization's cloud environments running on AWS 
  • Partner with the security operations staff to assist with incident response
  • Provide guidance on secure coding practices, data security and privacy.
  • Work as a full-stack engineer building micro frontends in React and micro services using TypeScript.
  • Contribute to design discussions and provide researched opinion on industry standards/best practices.
  • Take ownership of key components in the digital platform, right from inception to post-production.
  • Collaborate with other developers, architects, product & project managers, etc. in a cross functional team.

Essential Abilities, Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or related field(s)
  • 5 years of experience in the areas of Information Technology or Information Security3+ years of experience working with distributed teams.
  • Deep knowledge of Cloud Security Tools and Standards is a must
  • CISSP and AWS certification is a huge plus
  • Must have hands-on experience in developing websites with some of the technologies like - Java, Spring boot, NodeJS with JavaScript/Typescript, ReactJS and Elasticsearch (or SOLR, Lucene search engine); Experience developing apps with React Native, iOS, Android is a plus 
  • Experience with AWS Serverless Cloud native services with Lambda functions, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, API Gateway
  • Experience with Identity frameworks like Amazon Cognito, Okta, Auth0 or any OAuth2 / Open ID Connect frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of Caching frameworks, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL data stores, storage, and distributed persistence technologies
  • Strong communications and presentation skills.
  • Passionate about enabling next generation experiences.
