Sr. Manager, Strategic Planning
Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead | Drive annual, seasonal, and quarterly strategic operations activities for the Customer organization in support of the Neiman Marcus brand strategy and Customer business objectives.
- Pursue | Govern the adoption and application of business and operational processes and policies to optimize real-time insights into current delivery and performance, pipelining potential needs. Ensure the full portfolio of project plans are correctly phased and planned for to provide sufficient insight into forward looking capacity and resource requirements. Navigate ambiguous situations to unearth and address core issues or challenges
- Workflow | Support strategic and operational projects through engagement and project management support. Contribute personal insight, galvanize discussion and debate across the organization on key strategic issues, generating ideas and creative frameworks, and use a combination of facts, judgment, and personal impact to build credibility and influence outcomes. Independently lead and drive cross-functional initiatives, projects or programs
- Develop | Support the Customer organization leadership in defining, building, and implementing the seasonal business activation strategies and plans to deliver financial plans and KPI commitments. Drive data-driven insights to support actionable strategic direction, prioritization, and strategy communication
- Communicate | Work closely with the Customer organization leadership and Growth Execution Strategy team in developing and making presentations to executive and senior leaders, the Board of Directors, and on strategic matters pertaining to Neiman Marcus brand and Customer organization strategies.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of strategic planning, operations, management working with cross functional diverse teams with and experience dedicated to leading programs / projects
- Experience with using data create business plans leveraging insights to drive specific actions impacting KPIs.
- Demonstrated consistent ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver technical solutions while mitigating or removing hurdles / obstacles
- Excellent problem solving, conflict / resolution management, active listening, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Highly adaptable, and strong collaborator, fierce advocate, and influencer
- Detail oriented, proactive, sound operational judgment, up-beat and “can do” attitude with an ability to work across multiple projects as needed.
- Superior communications and presentation skills
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Product Suite
- 4-year degree preferred
- Certain roles may require standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds
- Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Travel may be required, up to 10%
