Social Media Specialist
The Social Media Specialist is a highly motivated individual with a passion for fashion, social media, digital innovation and communications. This role will act as support to both the Social Media Manager and Influencer Manager.
The specialist will support the execution of campaigns for Neiman Marcus, Neiman Marcus Last Call and Horchow on organic social media channels on a daily basis (including weekends). The specialist will work with the social media, marketing, creative, editorial and merchant teams to execute relevant campaigns that support the business. This position is responsible for content planning, publishing and reporting, allowing to gain insight into both the creative and data driven aspects of campaign planning and execution.
Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Creating content calendars for all platforms, making sure that content is aligned to overall messaging hierarchy defined by Social Media manager and ensuring product is available.
• Scheduling and publishing (publishing during weekends as well) all social content for Neiman Marcus Group banners across different platforms such as Instagram (feed and stories), Facebook, Twitter, YouTube among others.
• Monitoring daily conversations and ensure social messaging content is relevant, appropriate and engaging. At the same time, find untapped opportunities to participate.
• Tracking and analyzing key metrics, generate reports to evaluate performance; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes. Support social media team in preparing and delivering reporting and analysis to key internal teams and NMG executives.
• Engage with followers through ongoing daily community management to activate new customers or strengthen relationship with existing ones.
• Participate in conceptualizing campaign ideas across multiple initiatives/ departments.
• Aid in coordination of influencer campaigns including product sourcing, shipping, etc.
Job Requirements:
• 1 – 2 years of experience
• Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Marketing or Communications is preferred.
• Mastery in and passion for all social media channels and storytelling.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, Tik Tok, etc.) and how each platform can be used in different scenarios.
• Awareness of influencers and ways to leverage influencers as part of campaigns.
• Ability to think laterally and creatively and problem-solve while juggling multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and a strong visual sense a plus.
• Marketing or agency experience a plus.
