Social Media Publishing & Community Specialist
The Social Media Publishing and Community Specialist is an organized, highly motivated individual with a passion for fashion, social media, digital innovation and communications. This role will act as support to the Sr. Social Media Manager, Social Media Content Specialist, and Social Media Art Director.
The Community Specialist will support the publishing of campaigns for Neiman Marcus, Neiman Marcus Man and Horchow on organic social media channels daily (including weekends). At the same time, this individual will be responsible for monitoring daily activity on social media channels, engage with loyal customers and raise real-time opportunities to the rest of the social media team.
The specialist will work with the social media, marketing, creative, editorial, and merchant teams to execute social campaigns that support the business. This position is responsible for content planning, publishing, community management and reporting to gain insight into both the creative and data driven aspects of campaign planning and execution.
Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assisting Social Specialist and Social Media Art Director with updating changes in content calendars for all platforms, making sure that content is aligned to overall messaging hierarchy defined by Social Media manager and ensuring product is available.
Scheduling and publishing (publishing during weekends as well) all social content for Neiman Marcus and Horchow across different platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, etc.
Monitoring daily conversations and ensuring social messaging content is relevant, appropriate and engaging. At the same time, find real-time opportunities to participate and social media trends.
Lead all aspects of community management: engage with community through daily community management to activate new customers and strengthen existing relationships while maintaining and growing the voice of the brand; interact directly with audience; partner with customer service team to deliver a seamless, customer-centric experience.
Serve as a trendsetter with respect to emerging technology, trends, and platforms. Understand the ever-evolving nature of social media and obsess over keeping Neiman Marcus at the forefront of innovation, trends and “cool factor.”
Participate in conceptualizing campaign ideas across multiple initiatives/ departments.
Job Requirements:
1 – 2 years of experience.
Bachelor’s Degree required. A degree in Marketing or Communications is preferred.
Mastery in and passion for all social media channels and storytelling.
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and remain calm under pressure.
Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, Tik Tok, etc.) and how each platform can be used in different scenarios.
Ability to think laterally and creatively and problem-solve while juggling multiple tasks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Positive team player and an enthusiastic work ethic.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and a strong visual sense a plus.
Marketing or agency experience a plus.
