Senior Manager, Merchant Analytics
The Senior Manager, Merchant Analytics position will lead a team that provides data driven insights and analyses related to customer assortment preferences across the Neiman Marcus Group.
This position will partner closely with cross functional teams across Merchandising, Marketing, Stores, eComm and Analytics to develop insights aimed at optimizing revenue and sell-through both overall and for key customer segments.
This position will support analytics based needs across all Neiman Marcus Group brands, divisions and selling channels.
Key Performance Elements/Responsibilities:
- 5+ years experience in deep dive analysis on customer attribute data to produce quality insights that drive business strategies and value
- 2+ years management experience; experience with communicating with leadership a plus
- Ability to perform actionable diagnostic analysis on customer attribute and online/offline behavior data to produce quality insights, drive business strategies and maximize organizational efficiencies
- Query, manipulate and transform data from multiple sources to produce a comprehensive view of customer behavior across all selling (online/offline) and marketing channels (digital/print)
- Develop analytically sound approaches to answering business questions while demonstrating resourcefulness in obtaining and cleansing data when comprehensive information is not available
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that behavioral analytics and insights are embedded in decision making
Requirements:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of SQL and Python to transform, manipulate and analyze customer attribute data (including transactions, web browsing, inventory) and turn into revenue driving insights
- Ability to drive analyses that decomposes drivers of business performance across various dimensions: customer segment, product, selling channel, media channel
- Ability to concisely explain insights coming from complex data analyses through effective verbal/written communication and compelling data visualizations
- Experience with Snowflake, AWS, Tableau, Adobe Analytics is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, etc)
