Senior Director, Visual Experience
The Senior Director, Visual Experience is a newly created role to craft luxury visual experiences for our customers and ultimately drive business results. This role will be tasked with enhancing the store environment so that it creates a unique experience for the Neiman Marcus customer. This role reports into the VP, Creative with a dotted report to the VP Store Design, and will work cross functionally within Neiman Marcus Brand and stores. The successful candidate will be experienced in delivering participatory and immersive experiences that drive brand awareness.
Job Responsibilites & Tasks
- Leads all creative thinking, concepting and design to build engaging customer experiences through visual storytelling and customer engagement.
- Work cross functionally with store design to identify space and opportunities to create visual interaction with the NM customer
- Drive sales and profit results by leading and developing strategies and appropriately planning/executing an engaging customer experience
- Coordinate with cross functional partners to prepare layout and operational execution of installations / store environment
- Elevate integrated experience for the customer utilizing expressive 3D screens, flows, installations, immersive experiences
- Lead the creative development of window displays, campaign expressions in store and at key events.
- Manage a team of corporate creative designers and project managers. Also co-lead regional store VM teams
- Collaborate with other creative leads and store planning to develop integrated experiences and expressions of the NM brand, brand partnerships and local environments
- Responsible for creative investment budget
Desired Education & Experience
- 10+ years management and leadership experience
- 7-10 years experience driving an integrated customer facing environment
- A strong creative portfolio and proven track record of ideating, concepting and delivering immersive experiences and participatory storytelling
- Expert in the development, implementation, and execution of innovative visual experiences
- Luxury retail experience required
