As a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting, you'll join a growing team and be responsible for external reporting (quarterly/annual reports, earning releases), internal analysis packages, and other necessary filings. You'll partner with internal leaders across NMG and work with external auditors, actuaries, and other advisors. You'll support strategic projects by coordinating data requests, providing technical accounting analysis, and tracking process enhancements. You'll report to the Accounting and Reporting Manager.

What You'll Do

             Prepare GAAP-compliant quarterly and annual reports

             Manage internal reporting schedules and prepare reports for earnings calls, investor presentations, and other external communications

             Partner with Investor Relations, Strategy, Communications, and other partners to evaluate potential disclosures for accuracy, appropriateness, and consistency, among other criteria

             Collaborate with finance and operations to prepare financial statement analysis and communicate main themes to Finance leaders

             Support important team projects, such as system upgrades, process improvements and streamlining procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency

             Perform technical accounting research, prepare documentation, and support implementation of accounting standards and related protocols across the team

             Coordinate audit and valuation processes, including preparation of materials, project management, and issue escalation, with necessary third parties

             Other special projects, ad hoc requests and projects

What You Bring

             Undergraduate degree, Accounting, Finance or equivalent industry experience

             4+ years of accounting experience, public accounting or equivalent industry experience

             Knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with accounting/reporting research tools LIST

             Experience with financial statement preparation and reporting requirements

             Experience managing projects, including prioritization, establishing timelines, and tracking completion

             Experience using Excel for lookups, pivots, dashboards, and advanced formulas

             Experience with large-scale ERP, such as Oracle EBS, SAP, or PeopleSoft, and reporting tools, such as Oracle EPM, SmartView, Essbase, or Workiva WDesk
