Project Lead- Order Management

Information Technology

Currently located in Dallas Texas, this position participates in the overall design and implementation of the order management system.  This position is a key member of the project delivery team and will facilitate business requirement gathering, perform analysis and design.  This role will interact with business users, peers, external partners and company management to determine the best solutions.  Further, this position will create reports, queries, business cases and presentations at the appropriate level of detail to provide decision/business support.  The lead role should understand supply chain concepts and enterprise integration with foundation data, warehouse management, stores, tax, paymentcall centeretc 


The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of progressive work experience as a Project Team Lead or Consultant with multiple medium to large project implementation cycles. This role regularly interfaces with business users, managed services provider and leadership.   Previous Senior Developer or Architect with experience in warehouse management, OMS, eCommerce retail experiences is a definite plus.   

  • Execute order management strategy to provide superior order fulfillment services to operations and customers. 

  • Collect, document and implement functional business requirements. 

  • Proficient in design, inventory management, order routing, call center, payment processing and returns and exchanges processes. 

  • Provide technical specifications regarding new order management functionality. 

  • Review, analyze, problem solve and delivery of thoroughly tested and efficient solutions. 

  • Configure and optimize order management system.   

  • Provide level-three support of the API/batch processes specific to the order management system. 

  • Provide level-two support to end-users and training. 

  • Work with and support business users as needed. 

  • Monitor and work with manage service provider to resolve any production issues. 

  • Other duties as assigned 

























  • College degree or equivalent work experience 

  • Minimum of two years technical application configuration/implementation experience. 

  • Minimum of two years of experience order management, order fulfillment and analytics. 

  • 3 + years with requirements gathering, process design, configuration, functional design, testing, conversion, and deployment experience. 

  • 3+ years of experience in working with retailers on omni channel implementations. 

  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Office 365 & Power Point 

  • Experience working with Project Management tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence) 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Process oriented with high attention to detail 

  • Strong process and analytical skill set. 

  • Team player with a positive attitude. 

Preferred Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or Finance. 

  • Advance proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Office 365 & Power Point. 

  • 3+ years experience performing requirements gathering, process design, configuration, functional design, testing, conversion and deployment experience. 

  • 5+ years experience implementing omni channel or OMS complex projects and major enhancements. 

  • 5+ years experience in a large, complex, multi-unit department store, fashion or apparel/footwear retailer. 

  • Working knowledge of SQL via SQL Developer. 

  • Experience with UNIX: Navigation, file handling and scripting  

  • Experience with Cloud, ReactJS and Microservices. 

  • Strong comprehension of retail financial metrics (retail accounting method).  

  • Excellent organizational and written communication skills and effective, respectful verbal communication skills.
