Key Responsibilities

  • Leads and coaches team to work effectively to deliver projects or services in a strong customer-service and team-oriented environment
  • Evaluates associate performance within the team, effectively manages right talent for projects, identifies resource gaps, addresses performance issues and hire top talent
  • Demonstrates and practices an understanding of talent management to build effective teams along with setting team strategy
  • Accountable for the portfolio, technology and project delivery and communication
  • Proactively provides updates to the leadership and visibility to issue with mitigation plans at the right time to address issue at hand
  • Develops roadmaps for their areas of responsibility incorporating both business and IT demand aligning with strategic work
  • Develops short and long term goals aligning with company and departments strategic direction
  • Builds open and collaborative relationships with clients, business partners and peers Builds trust and ability to influence peers and others to drive results.
  • Manages project budget providing visibility to the leadership within the portfolio
  • Oversee and manage design, development, software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities ensuring quality delivery, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements
  • Provides technical direction and oversight for the team; Technically savvy of industry innovations and trends for their area of responsibility
  • Evaluates technologies and has a strong grasp of modern information technology systems and the technology in their area of responsibility

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent. Masters degree is preferred.
  • Overall 10 + years of experience with 6+ years delivering and operating large scale, highly available web/mobile applications including 1-3 years as Hands on Technical Lead. Prior experience in retail domain is a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience working with distributed teams.
  • Manage a team of software engineers, ensuring high quality of work coupled with high speed of delivery
  • Must have hands-on experience of 5+ years in developing websites with some of the technologies like - Java, Spring boot, NodeJS with Javascript/Typescript, ReactJS and ElasticSearch. Experience developing apps with React Native, iOS, Android is a plus 
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement, change and world class delivery.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Passionate about enabling next generation experiences.
  • Strong understanding and experience leading teams using Agile and Scrum principles.  
  • Experience with automated testing, deployment pipelines and AWS cloud-based services – both serverless and non-serverless – API gateways, lambdas, Dynamodb, Kinesis streams, Cognito etc
