Lead Maintenance Engineer - Fulfillment Center
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
- 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- 2+ years of experience in the repair of material-handling equipment
- Ability to work in distribution environments that may be noisy and potentially work on rooftop equipment in extreme temperatures
- 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading
- 1+ years of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles
- Able to work with others as well as independently and be a self-starter
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workload
- Understanding and knowledge of SDS (Safety Data Sheets) information
- Background or experience in conveyor operation and repair
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards
- Project Management experience
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions
- Basic HVAC knowledge is a plus
Physical Demands

- Must have the ability to reach arms above head, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, and frequently lift a maximum of 50 lbs. of equipment
- Ability to perform tasks wearing a mask, face shield, and composite-toed boots/shoes
- Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine
- Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work including walking 6 to 12 miles per day
- Work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
- Regularly required to type on a computer or stand-up desk and for 1-2 hours per day
