The Influencer Manager is a highly motivated individual with experience and passion for digital content creators, pop-culture, notable talent and creative storytelling through social/ digital. This role will act as Neiman Marcus’ social media influencer lead, working closely with the communications, media, brand partnerships and brand marketing teams.


He or she will develop forward-looking strategies to drive the future of the Neiman Marcus influencer community, it’s key for this person to stay abreast of new and emerging talent, platforms, digital culture and technologies. The goal is to create engaging and innovative programs that are able to drive brand awareness, purchase intent and traffic towards Neiman Marcus stores and website.


Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead influencer strategy for Neiman Marcus; developing and overseeing the execution of influencer initiatives including ongoing and tent pole campaigns. These campaigns will range from managing macro to niche influencers, the manager will need to understand how to best motivate social coverage with these partnerships.
  • Develop relationship with influencers that is focused on building brand/ business advocacy
  • Create influencer programs tailored to the different business needs and areas of Neiman Marcus. These can range from engaging pure fashion influencers to discovering influential names within different industries that will allow Neiman Marcus to reach new audiences.
  • Work with the Brand Partnerships team to offer new capabilities to our brand partners that will create a diverse offering of programs tailored to budget and business value
  • Scale influencer program at a national scale for an always-on approach that attracts talent from all industries; create excitement to join the Neiman Marcus Community.
  • Manage employee Social advocacy program, train on best practices, test how to motivate employees for increased coverage, evolve current employee social advocacy program.
  • Work with store PR managers to identify local talent and help on creating the right scope of work for them.
  • Create scope of work for all influencer programs
  • Report on executed campaigns always including learnings, opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Proactively identifying and vetting all talent for branded campaigns.
  • Develop new processes for the influencer program; this person needs to be a problem solver that will be excited to find solution and opportunities on working together with different stakeholders.


  • 6-8 years of digital experience with a concentration in social media and influencer management; experience in social media is a must

  • Proven experience in leading the creation and implementing digital/social media campaigns

  • Ability to interpret data using established analytic/reporting tools to create actionable marketing programs

  • Experience negotiating with outside vendors, including negotiating contracts, resolving issues, and reconciling differences

  • Able to demonstrate how social campaigns deliver impact to broader business and marketing objectives

  • Mastery in and passion for all social media channels and storytelling

  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and remain calm under pressure

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, Google+) and how each platform can be used in different scenarios

  • Ability to think laterally and creatively and problem-solve while juggling multiple tasks

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • A creative problem solver: must be able to distill goals and objectives and align strategies and tactics to meet them

  • Knowledge of talent industry, key media players, and influencer / blogger landscape

BS/BA required; marketing and communications degrees preferred
