Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Supporting the installation, testing, and training of innovative material handling systems.
  • Identifying new cutting edge technologies to support our broader network strategy by improving productivity in our warehouses, and speed to our customers.
  • Defining and implementing process improvement initiatives that improve key supply chain metrics
  • Making system configuration changes and educating facility leadership and team members on engineering projects and solutions
  • Performing performance validations and analytical evaluations of operational capacities including labor, throughput, and storage  
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement, determining root cause and developing the business case for proposed solutions
  • Working cross-functionally with project stakeholders from conceptual design through execution of project plans related to reengineering and optimization, using standard project management tools
  • Defining Engineered Labor Standards for new processes within the warehouse, and evaluating existing standards to ensure accuracy and adherence to SOPs
  • Promoting and supporting company policies, initiatives, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years experience in Industrial Engineering with demonstrated IE concepts (labor utilization, workflow and layout, process improvement, and standardization)
  • Experience with time study methodologies, predetermined time systems (MOST, MTM, or MSD), and labor standards
  • Experience with configuration, maintenance, and reporting of Labor-Management Systems (LMS)
  • Knowledge of engineering optimization methods (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma) and standard project management processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to advocate for and present recommendations to senior leaders
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience in collaborating with and influencing cross-functional groups across the enterprise
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office) and ability to adapt quickly to using a digital tool
