The Distinguished Architect is a director level position responsible for the data technology strategy, design and architecture of the enterprise and customer data capabilities, omni channel marketing and technology platform stack working closely with stakeholders across Marketing, Supply Chain and IT. 

 

In this role, you will architect and optimize use of the underlying data capabilities (Master Data Management, Customer Data Platform, Data Warehouse etc.) and the MarTech stack (Loyalty, promotions, campaigns, personalization, decisioning etc.) to enable a personalized Omni Luxury experience for our customers across channels (web, mobile, email, chat etc.).

This role entails hands-on experience in cloud architectures (SaaS, PaaS and IaaS) and requires deep interest and experience in software platforms.

 

You should have a background in both data architecture and integration architecture, along with a strong passion for customer focused analytics.

 

You will lead design discussions and mentor engineers on proper platform and application solutions. You will publish and present to technology leaders and business executives, providing thought leadership.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Business, Product and Technology teams to craft architecture that enables business and technology vision.
  • Ability to own architecture and influence strategic direction and vision for the future; perform in depth analysis of current state and create target state architecture, capability maturity roadmap and transition state architectures.
  • Collaborate and partner with the Marketing teams to define and document the use cases, translating the marketing strategy, business capabilities into technical strategy, capabilities and architecture.
  • Envision and design, modern MarTech stacks that utilize customer data to create a personalized targeted experience; develop a Personalization / decisioning engine architecture.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on MarTech topics and explore/research emerging marketing technologies and trends.
  • Contribute in Enterprise architecture review board to establish architecture roadmaps, define and approve cross-functional design approach
  • Capture, design, and communicate views of enterprise data at contextual, conceptual, and logical levels of abstraction.
  • Be hands-on when needed to unblock the team - coding, code reviews, designs.
  • Provide guidance on adoption of modern application paradigms including containers, microservices and event streaming.

Consulting, education and mentoring architects and leaders in modern application development, deployment

Qualifications:

 

  • Requires Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with IT focus degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategizing and architecting cloud data platforms leveraging cloud technologies in AWS, AZURE or GC required.
  • 5+ years of experience in creating architecture for Marketing systems - Personalization (Customer ID graph, personalization and decisioning engines, etc.), Content Management, Customer 360/Customer Data Platform, Analytics & Big Data solutions
  • 10+ years of experience in Data Solution Architecture/design including data processing, integration and analytical solutions leveraging Python, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, JAVA etc.
  • 10+ years of data modeling experience working with relational, non-relational and dimensional data models and platforms
  • Knowledge of tools like Airflow, Automic, Visualization tools like Business Objects, tableau, ThoughtSpot and languages like Spark, Scala, Python, Java are preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
