Director, Associate DMM, High Jewelry
JOB DUTIES
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute strategy to achieve financial plans
- Support Loyal client growth/frequency through training of key sellers (inclusive of Personal and Digital Stylists) retention strategies and elevated experiences
- Partner with stores to strategically marry opportunities between clients and big ticket special merchandise. Own the communication cycle from order to delivery with store, brand partner and buying office.
- Point person for price negotiation with the buying office (including buy backs)
- Support closing big ticket sales through coaching and knowledge sharing
- Support events in conjunction with key stakeholders and ensure success
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendor community
- Negotiate engagement opportunities, support the selling process
- Coach and mentor associates through the selling process
- Work directly with workroom activities optimizing bespoke jewelry business and maximizing inventory
- Develop training modules in partnership with internal teams
Attend market and trade shows and identify new resources
Reports to:
- Jewelry DMM
SKILLS
- Deep expertise in precious jewelry and gemstones, understanding value and craftsmanship
- Able to think strategically about how to develop the business
- Understanding of the jewelry landscape
- Strong selling skills: the ability to close a sale
- Initiative and entrepreneurial spirit, the ideal candidate is a self-starter
