Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage alteration production of tailors/tailoress, and multiple store alterations workrooms.  This person will also manage the production workflow of high volume garments daily
  • Maintain an efficient workflow within the workroom to produce customers’ alterations according to promise dates, and timely completion of inventory repairs for fulfillment
  • Maintain optimum quality of the work that is equal to or better than the original garment construction to be completed in the workroom
  • Capable of ongoing training and development of the tailors to further enhance and improve their skill levels
  • Communicate daily with the workroom team delivering timely feedback to ensure quality standards are met
  • Demonstrate knowledge of understanding budgets and production reports, enabling decisions making based on information provided from those reports
  • Flex as needed to other job assignments directed by the management team
  • Other duties as assigned or needed by Workroom Manager

Requirements:

  • Master Tailor/Tailoress with a minimum of 5 years experience in alteration management
  • Leadership,  Management & Communication skills
  • Managing overall productivity/quality of the workroom

Essential Physical Requirements

  • May require some pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, or kneeling and lifting up to 50lbs with or without accommodation
