Overview:
Bergdorf Goodman is Manager of Private Client Relations to join our dynamic team.
This role is pivotal in supporting our most valued relationships with ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients, working closely with top sales professionals across the store to deepen client engagement, drive loyalty, and deliver
extraordinary service.
At Bergdorf Goodman, the sales associate, is at the center of the client relationship. The
Private Client Relations Manager works directly with sales associates to co-create meaningful
experiences, strategic touchpoints, and memorable surprise-and-delight moments that exceed client expectations.
This individual should possess a high level of social fluency, discretion, and emotional
intelligence, with the ability to move comfortably between the selling floor and elevated
client-facing events. The ideal candidate thrives in luxury environments and is passionate
about creating elevated, bespoke moments that forge lasting relationships between the
client, the associate, and the brand.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Strategy & Execution
• Act as a strategic partner to top-performing sales associates to support and elevate
their UHNW client relationships.
• Identify meaningful touchpoints, gifting opportunities, private events, and
experiences that align with individual client interests and preferences.
• Maintain a curated calendar of cultural, fashion, and lifestyle moments to help
associates organically engage their clients throughout the year.
Client Acquisition, Retention & Strategic Partnerships
• Support the three key pillars of the Private Client program: acquisition, retention,
and strategic partnerships.
• Collaborate on initiatives that attract new high-value clients while strengthening
loyalty among existing top spenders.
• Cultivate relationships with luxury lifestyle brands, cultural institutions, and service
providers to co-create exclusive experiences for clients.
Event Planning & Social Engagement
• Concept and execute intimate client events—both in-store and off-site—that are
designed to delight, inspire, and connect.
• Serve as an on-site host for client activations, providing a warm, welcoming
presence and ensuring an elevated experience for all guests.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless execution, from invitation to follow-
up.
Internal Collaboration & Associate Enablement
• Serve as a trusted resource and collaborator to associates, offering insights,
concierge-level support, and creative solutions to enhance client engagement.
• Champion a culture of white-glove service, celebrating moments of success and
coaching best practices for clienteling and relationship building.
• Support the development and distribution of tools, guides, and communications that enable a consistent, high-touch Private Client experience.
Qualifications:
• 3-5+ years in luxury retail, client services, hospitality, or private client management
• Deep understanding of UHNW client expectations and the luxury mindset
• Polished, articulate, and socially fluent; able to engage comfortably in high-end settings
• Impeccable discretion, tact, and emotional intelligence
• Proven ability to plan and execute events and experiential activations with
excellence
• Ability to think creatively and act strategically in a fast-paced, high-touch
environment
• Collaborative and proactive, with a solution-oriented approach
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with CRM tools and luxury clienteling strategies preferred
