Your Role 

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling essential variables within their department. The managing of daily responsibilities is in conjunction with short and long term goals and objectives of the department.

The App Merchandising Manager's primary responsibility is to enhance the luxury customer experience and love of fashion through the Neiman Marcus mobile app. This involves a combination of content and commerce strategies aimed at engaging customers and ultimately driving conversions. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills, excellent time management, problem-solving ability, and the capability to multitask effectively. Additionally, strong interpersonal skills are essential to collaborate with various stakeholders. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Content Management and Analysis: As the manager, you will leverage merchandising analytics to collaborate closely with marketing and creative teams. Your primary objective will be to strategically plan, request, test and report on content across all app placements.
  • Optimization of Traffic and Conversion Funnels: The manager demonstrates a clear understanding of traffic and conversion funnels. By analyzing these funnels, they identify areas for optimization and work to improve the customer journey and overall conversion rates.
  • Build a Framework for Customized Merchandising and Styling Experiences: Make the app about the customer by delivering content appropriate for their journey. Champion product discovery, associate insights and data-driven organization in the content decisions made in the app.
  • Utilize data to identify opportunities. Provide app-focused guardrails for campaigns and brand moments.
  • Contribute to the App Roadmap: Work with the UX/Product/Tech teams to identify opportunities to enhance app functionality based on the customers relationship with content.
  • Reporting of Insights: Consistently communicate valuable insights and opportunities to cross-functional partners to ensure a collaborative approach to decision-making. Develop analytically sound approaches to decision making. This includes by division, brand, category, promo and content placement.
  • Be The Voice of the App: Partner with other business stakeholders to understand the key business drivers and opportunities for growth across the organization and develop an app marketing and merchandising plan to drive sales, engagement and conversion.
  • Passion for Fashion and Partners: You will be the fashion lead for the app. Being dialed into competitive and industry information as well as partnering with our fashion gurus across the company will be core to your success. 

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant retail experience. Ecommerce preferred.
  • Strong experience in large scale enterprise organizations. Luxury retail preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, verbal and written.
  • Strong commitment to timelines, accuracy, organization and professionalism.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and cross functional environment with a company first mindset.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, passionate, and accountable. A self-starter approach with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility.
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using data analytics tools. Adobe Analytics experience preferred. Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Experience driving result-oriented actions
  • Experience in an “ownership” position overseeing site content / visual merchandising with the goal of driving ecommerce KPIs is preferred.
