The candidate will be responsible for supporting the overall e-commerce analytics strategy, process, and organization which deliver information, insight, and recommendations to monitor, measure, and optimize NMG online business. This role will also work to find ways to advocate for data driven decisions across the organization. In addition to producing regular reporting and analysis, the expectation is to go beyond traditional web analytics reporting and provide actionable insights and to facilitate change.
Responsibilities:
Effectively respond to ad-hoc report and analysis requests from the various team (Merchants, Marketing, Product Management)
Responsible for web analytics analysis and reporting across all Neiman Marcus Group ecommerce platforms
Perform deep dive analysis into consumer behavior on the site, ranging from pathing, funnel analysis to product interaction, to identify pain points within the online experience and improve business performance
Work with the Product Management team and business partners to identify A/B testing opportunities and personalization efforts
Track and analyze web site performance, trends, paths, and results of changes made to the websites to see how changes affected site conversion
Periodically conduct deep dive analysis across multiple customer touchpoints such as email, paid search, natural search, banner ads, affiliates, leveraging data from multiple sources: vendor reporting tools, web analytics tool, and legacy systems.
As applicable, help guide the work of more junior analytics team members and/or contractors
Qualifications:
4-year Degree, preferably in Economics, Mathematics, Marketing, Finance, Statistics or in other quantitative field of study
2+ years of experience working in a Retail eCommerce environment focused on web analytics
2+ years of experience using web analytics tools such as Omniture, Google Analytics, or similar (Omniture preferred)
Proficient at writing custom queries using web analytics insight tools (Omniture Ad Hoc Analysis preferred)
Strong Excel and analytical skills that include root cause analysis
Knowledge and experience with SQL, SAS or Tableau is a plus
Experience with implementation of web analytics tools as well as data validation a plus
