EVENTS:
Events drive a significant percent of each store’s overall business. For FY 2018 stores and Corporate PR produced more than 3000 events.
-
Plan the seasonal events calendar and allocate public relations budget dollars with store executive team. Events should be accepted, scheduled, and funded, based on the maximum return on investment.

Handle the scheduling, budgeting, communication internally and externally, planning, execution/production, breakdown, wrap up, and reporting of each event.
-
Manage all expenses and budget reconciliation of all events.
-
Turn into Corp. PR the One Form for events costing $300 or more giving event cost and sales.
-
Send in request for reimbursement for $10K events and invoice for all vendor co-op promised.
-
Designer Jewelry requires a recap for every event.
-
Continually search for new and creative ideas for special events to drive traffic into the store and to appeal to new customers.

Regularly submit event photographs and recaps to be shared in the NM Scene.
-
Submit event information monthly to Corp. PR for the Eblast and the NM website calendar listing.
-
Manage expenses and maintain accurate financial records to close each season on plan. Track event sales results and costs.
MARKETING:
-
Manage writing copy and producing of all invitations, letters, postcards, SAEmails, and evites for store events. Manage the store’s LYNX email program.
-
Participate in weekly Corporate Marketing All-Store calls to manage the Promo calendar for the store.
PUBLIC AND MEDIA RELATIONS:
-
Serve as the in-store communications liaison.
-
Cultivate and maintain positive media (traditional and digital) contacts and relationships to position NM’s brand and activities top of mind for both current and future customers.
-
Proactively work to maximize the placement of positive print, broadcast, and social media in support of the store’s business, associates (senior) and events. Regularly collaborate with Corp. PR/Media to create and distribute press releases about new product launches, trends, promotions, technology, special events, and food services.
INCIRCLE:
-
Serve as ambassador for new account solicitation – creating monthly incentives and contests for new account solicitation.

Serve as on-site contact for InCircle (Loyalty) customers.
MORNING MEETINGS:
-
Manage the all store Morning Meeting Calendar for brand partner meetings and trainings.
-
Assign duties to store team to insure the success of these training opportunities.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS:
-
Execute clientele development and marketing strategies in partnership with store executive team to increase the core customer base and to develop potential new customers.
-
Serve as brand ambassador and liaison within the community – to build relationships with important customers, charities, social organizations, cultural and civic groups, community leaders and press. Attend charity events (day and evening) representing NM.
PHILANTHROPY AND CHARITABLE RELATIONS:

Plan and manage the charitable contributions budget for the store – fielding all requests for donations, and merchandise items and/or gift cards for raffles and auctions.

Lead the All Heart program in store and coordinate community service projects for the store team (in partnership with HR).

Turn in the Charitable Giving report monthly.
IN-STORE AND SENIOR DUTIES:

Build and maintain a positive working relationship with the other members of the store executive team, NM Merchant Team, Corporate Public Relations, corporate Marketing and Creative personnel, brand partners, and community leaders.

Participate in the weekly Director of Stores/Marketing calls.

Understand and adhere to all Neiman Marcus policies and procedures, properly completing required paperwork within deadlines.
-
As an active member of the Store Senior Team, participate in closing the store and weekend/holiday duty.
