Summary
The Talent Development Manager will support all Neiman Marcus organizations as a member of the corporate Talent Development team.  This position will be based at Neiman Marcus – Talent Development (Dallas, TX), in our downtown Dallas headquarters.  This position does not currently have any direct reports.  This role will also serve as a Change Management Lead, and is responsible for the successful execution of organizational change initiatives, including new or changed business processes, systems/technology and organizational changes. 
 
Responsibilities
This position provides organization development and learning consulting and support to internal client groups.
 
Organization Change Management responsibilities include:
 
  • Provides change management direction and expertise for projects, and plan, execute and track change management and training activities for large change initiatives:
    • Develops customized change management plans to cover the areas of communication, sponsorship, coaching, training and resistance management for specific change programs
    • Coordinates, coaches and trains local change agents/resources regarding change management concepts, processes, and tools, applying Neiman Marcus change methodology.
    • Continuously tracks and measures the effectiveness of change initiatives, while integrating best practices to sustain successful change plans.
    • Provides change management consulting support to miscellaneous projects as needed.
  • Partners with the VP, Talent Development and other senior leaders to customize, define and develop standard change management processes, tools and methods for NMG.
     
     
    Organization Development responsibilities include:
  • Provides Organization Development/Effectiveness support for NMG organizations and leaders:
    • Consults with and facilitates managers and executives in the organization in assessing organization or individual performance issues and identifying and evaluating potential solutions
    • Plans and implements talent solutions to positively impact manager/associate performance and/or organization/team performance
    • Projects may include:  Organization/role design, team development, leader development, leader integration, development of assessments, competency model development, career model development
  • Provide support in developing executive level summaries and presentations related to Talent Development programs
  • Develops detailed project plans, implements projects and evaluates project results
  • Teams collaboratively across the Talent Development and other HR teams in planning, designing and executing talent solutions/programs
  • Participates in development, modification and support of core HR processes and tools, such as performance management, succession planning, etc., including implementation and update in Talent Management System
 
Learning responsibilities include:
  • Plans and manages training development, delivery, and assessment of value added
    • Ensures that training objectives are aligned with business strategies and are consistently executed
    • Collaborates with all levels to assess needs and make recommendations to address priority needs
    • Identifies and communicates training opportunities, and acts as training contact for managers and associates, to answer questions and resolve issues
    • Collaborates with other trainers on various projects
    • Develops and delivers technical and soft skills training
  • Administers training related activities for instructor-led, webinar and eLearning delivery formats
    • Evaluates training effectiveness and impact on business (e.g., Measures ROI on business impact through formalized metrics)
    • Uses LMS to load courses, communicate with participants, track and report attendance, etc.
       
       
      Skills
      Required
  • 5+ years facilitation experience:  Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with demonstrated ability to teach a group new concepts or processes
  • 5+ years organization development and change management experience
  • Strong capability in MS Applications (e.g., Powerpoint, Excel, Word)
  • 5+ years instructional design experience;  Familiar with adult learning models, and training design and development for eLearning and Instructor Led Training
  • Demonstrates technical proficiency as well as advanced software skills (e.g. web conferencing applications, general PC/internet skills)
  • Consulting experience with senior executives on organization development anc change management assessments and solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work productively across NMG brands 
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work well under pressure and multi-task
  • Must be professional, energetic, self-motivated, and have a positive attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability in working with senior executives
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Strong attention to detail;  strong quality assurance skills
  • Some travel may be required
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Education, Training, HR, OD or a related field
