Staff Engineer – Marketing Technology
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership for the retail promotions platform development & implementation
- Create technical specifications regarding new promotion management functionality.
- Review, analyze, problem solve and delivery of thoroughly tested and efficient solutions.
- Configure and optimize promotion management system.
- Lead internal and contract resources and ensure all SDLC best practices are followed
- Perform hands-on design, development, and implementation
- Assist with architecture and technical evaluation for customer communication solutions.
- Accountable for technical promotions hub solution
- Facilitate solution design discussions
- Track and close requirements signoffs in an Agile (Jira)environment
- Mentor and coach to junior staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3 years with requirements gathering, process design, configuration, functional design, testing, conversion, and deployment experience.
- Experience working on omni channel implementations in a retail environment preferred
- Experience with integrating internal and external systems using a variety integration patterns including ETL, web services, and real-time messaging. Specific experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS), Microservices, and Java RESTful API Development is desired
- Programming experience in building high quality software.
- Ability to design highly available systems with fallback capability.
- Experience influencing decision making
- Demonstrate strong understanding of development processes and agile methodologies
- Experience with preparing systems for peak seasons such as holiday for retail.
- Experience developing and leveraging relationships in cross-functional teams
- Strong presentation and communication skills
