Qualifications
Understanding how system software ecosystems work together and develops test approach that fit overall test startegies
Be responsible for development of test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses
Oversee test automation development execution of test plans and reporting test execution
Develop and enhance next generation Test Engineering Automation solutions in a Continuous Integration environment (CI/CD pipeline)
Define, design, development, documentation and maintenance of tools and Automation Frameworks for current and next gen Software Platforms/Frameworks as part of an Agile team
Collaborates cross-functional end to end teams to triage and resolve technical issues
Be a key technical player in contributing to the architecture evolution of Full-stack Test Automation Frameworks and related capabilities that includes UI, REST services automation solutions
Promote culture of writing test scripts on 1st hour of development cycle to eliminate wait states and helps in speed to market
Experience with Java, Selenium, Rest-Assured, JMeter to design and develop Automated Testing solutions
5+ years of combined experience in a Retail business and / or Information Technology role, three of which in a Quality Assurance / testing role
Understanding of manual, automation, regression, performance testing role
Understanding of and experience working in an Agile and Waterfall environment
The applications in scope includes but not limited to applications developed in React JS, NodeJS,
JavaScript, JSP, HTML5, JAVA, Spring, Spring boot, elastic search, ATG Commerce, native mobile application (iOS/Android), RESTApi, using micro services architecture on cloud platform.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and Demonstrated experience leading, training, and guiding small teams
Provide guidance, training, and mentoring of Test Engineers
Technical Skills Required
Java development skills, Java Script, jQuery, Spring, Hibernate, understanding of design patterns, data structures and experience working in a layered architecture with significant experience applying those skills in test environments
Experience and expertise working with database like Oracle or MySQL
Experience with NO-SQL is a plus
Experience with Selenium or equivalent technologies in test automation and must have strong knowledge in developing various automation frameworks for front end back-end and middle tier
Python or Ruby experience is a plus
Test tools experience Rest Assured, JMeter, Junit, Selenium, Gatling etc.
Experience with spring boot, NodeJS, React JS, React native and any modern JS frameworks is a plus
Good understanding of the role of automation in various SDLCs (e.g. agile, scrum, waterfall) and mentor, train and coach resources.
Experience with Cloud based tests (AWS, GAE) is mandatory
