Qualifications
Technical Skills Required
- Understanding how system software ecosystems work together and develops test approach that fit overall test startegies
- Be responsible for development of test strategies and creation of appropriates test harnesses
- Oversee test automation development execution of test plans and reporting test execution
- Able to Setup and configure applications and test plans and reporting test execution
- Collaborates cross-functional end to end teams to triage and resolve technical issues as needed
- Contributes to optimum test standard evolutions and technology by creating tools, contracts and design patterns to improve application quality
- Promote culture of writing test scripts on 1st hour of development cycle to eliminate wait states and helps in speed to market
- Experience testing cloud applications
- Experience with automated testing of REST API's
- Experience with automating performance testing with tools like jmeter
- Ten or more year's combined experience in a Retail business and / or Information Technology role three of which in a Quality Assurance / testing role
- Understanding of manual, automation, regression, performance testing role
- Understanding of and experience working in an Agile and Waterfall environments
- The applications in scope include legacy custom applications and package solutions, such as Oracle Retail, Oracle e-Business Suite and Human Resources, Manhattan WMS and POS
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and writtern) and Demonstrated experience leading, training, and guiding small teams
Technical Skills Required
- Experience in UNIX (Solaris/Linus/AIX), XML Schemas and usage
- Extensive experience with Enterprise Jave. JSP, Java Script, jQuery, Spring, Hibernate
- Experience developing and consuming REST, web services, JSON, AJAX, Canvas, and HTML5
Experience and expertise working with database like Oracle or MySQL
- Experience with NO-SQL is a plus
- Experience with Selenium or equivalent technologies in test automation and must have strong knowledge in developing various automation frameworks for front end back-end and middle tier
- Plus to have Python or Ruby experience
- Test tools experience Jmeter, Junit, Selenium, Gatling etc.
- Rational tools: Clear quest, clear case
- Experience with Cloud based tests (AWS, GAE) is mandatory
