Summary

As Product Designer you will help drive and inform the design strategy, vision and execution across Connect – our tool used by internal teams to track and view items, create groupings and outfits, produce content as well as communicate to, inspire, serve and sell to luxury clients.

 

You will report into the Manager, Product Design, Connect and work with senior leaders and cross-functional team members to solve challenging and complex UX problems, create elegant and intuitive UI and deliver world-class solutions to the unique problems and opportunities that arise while designing and building a tool that empowers Sales Associates, stylists and employees across the group to better understand and sell to the demanding luxury client.

 

You will be part of a fast growing wider Product Design team across 2 of the world’s most iconic luxury retailers, with an opportunity to make real impact as we look to create an inclusive, collaborative, design thinking focused culture that has ambitions to use real client data and insights to solve problems, innovate and drive customer experience and business objectives in purposeful, meaningful ways that can be measured and create impact at scale, quickly.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Design elegant, data driven, user-focused solutions to pain points, issues and enhancement opportunities through UX (strategy, flows, wireframes, customer experience mapping) and UI visuals (component designs, page elements and interactions).
  • Be well versed on the unique possibilities apps can bring – UI/UX trends/features/functionalities and overall experience for customers in an out of stores, while looking to bush the boundaries of what’s possible and maximize the opportunities the platform provides.
  • Contribute relevant, informed ideas/feedback/designs/concepts in team meetings, working sessions and via pixel perfect delivery of dev-ready designs and flows with required level of detail and documentation.
  • Review analytics and data to understand the needs of our users and produce end-to-end workflows and journeys that inform new product features and best deliver results.
  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into useful and desirable experiences that are impactful for our users.
  • Contribute to and evangelize design thinking into how we work across design, product, and engineering, and represent design and user experience across the company’s leadership
  • Collaborate with front end engineering on Design Systems that balance speed and creativity
  • Provide a comprehensive range of design activities, including problem definition, user flow examples, component usage, content and verbiage, and QA (visual and technical)
  • Iterate quickly and push to effectively increase output
  • Understand systems and flows, and prioritize design improvements to yield the maximum customer impact in the shortest amount of time
  • Actively contribute to the overall product design roadmap, including design decisions and priorities
  • Recommend improvements to our Design process/organisation and systems and push to continuously improve the way we work as individuals and a collective
  • Work with product to prioritize the roadmap, manage work load and team resources, stay on top of project and feature status and effectively communicate this to wider group and Senior Director, Product Design.
  • Ensure your work is tracked and delivered on time, meets expectations from a business and design quality pov, includes clear documentation and understanding of goals.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in design of digital products that have been released to market, with a proven track record of success
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in the study of user experience, UI design or related fields
  • Excellent organization, communication, facilitation, presentation and interpersonal skills to clearly communicate ideas, concepts, flows and more
  • We design and ideate in Figma and FigJam, so expertise in this software is a must, prototyping skills a bonus
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end (from brief to shipping) digital products within a cross-functional team environment with an iterative approach that leverages quantitative and qualitative measurement
  • Mastery and ability to guide on user experience design, including usability principles, user research methodology, testing techniques (A/B, Multi-Variant), design theory, and interaction design
  • Proactive initiative that identifies problems and acts on opportunities to improve the product offering, as well as taking instruction and working well as part of a team that delivers results quickly but with purpose.
  • Strong collaboration skills across disciplines that drive change
