The Operations Manager, Chanel is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Fine Apparel, Footwear and Accessories products, including handbags and jewelry for our luxury assortment. This role partners with the Selling Directors, BG/Chanel Store Management and Chanel Corporate Operations to ensure that all store operational functions are executed with the highest level of excellence and compliance. The Operations Manager, Chanel reports directly to the Director of Support Operations for Bergdorf Goodman Stores.
Job Duties
- Oversee, plan and gatekeep daily operations - communicates daily operational objectives with their team to create an efficient workflow.
- Execute and reconcile regular cycle counts as mandated by Chanel Corporate Operations; oversee the roll-out of new technological initiatives by the vendor.
- Responsible for the bi-annual financial inventory process within their areas; continued vigilance between counts to identify and reconcile discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Prioritize and work on various store projects, inclusive of but not limited to, assistance with trunk show/launch set-up, large-scale seasonal markdowns, stockroom reorganization to meet business needs or company initiatives.
- Partners with Selling Managers to achieve sales goals while maintaining the operational strategy; works with the Chanel Buying Organization to perform necessary product movements required to support the health of the business (stock transfers to support sales, managing damaged/repair product with the Chanel after-sales teams, etc.,)
- Collaborate with Vendor Representatives and Business Managers to support day-to-day business and product launches.
- Attend meetings with other Operations and Selling Managers within Bergdorf Goodman to build cross-functional partnerships.
- Responsible for the maintenance of both selling floor and heart of house standards.
- Attend off-site trainings hosted by Chanel to ensure that the standards within our MBS environment are compliant to their expectations while also supportive of the nature of Bergdorf Goodman’s selling culture.
- Hiring, training and development of support associates; build a cohesive customer service driven team.
- Instill operational excellence and accountability within the members of their team.
Job Requirements
- Experience in store-level Retail Operations Management
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and support multiple functions within the department
- Ability to self-manage projects and timelines
- Experience overseeing a team of 6+ associates
- Positive attitude and a team player
