Neiman Marcus Group Internship
JOB SUMMARY
The Neiman Marcus Group Corporate Internship is a progressive position designed to identify top talent and provide these individuals with the skills necessary to potentially become part of the Neiman Marcus Executive Development Program. Interns will discover the operations of a buying office within our merchant organization. Interns will be placed in our corporate buying offices and planning divisions, as well as possible placement in Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Information Technology (IT).
This program will also provide the interns with the opportunity to be mentored by our Senior Executive Leadership team and propose a business plan to the executive board at the end of their internship.
Interns are placed corporately at Neiman Marcus Group headquarters in downtown Dallas, Texas or with Bergdorf Goodman Corporate in New York City.
JOB DUTIES
- Responsibilities include:
- Understand and analyze the business
- Participate in business development initiative
- Review sales trends and sales opportunities
- Oversee execution of operational function
- Attend division meetings and react to needs of office
- Participate in a summer project developing a business plan
- Performs additional tasks as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a rising senior in college
- Must be analytical, articulate, and organized
- Must demonstrate strong leadership skills, the ability to multitask, and must handle themselves in a professional manner
- Must work confidently in teams and independently
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Successful completion of evaluation questionnaires (including math and behavioral assessments)
