Summary:


This position is for a who will help us plan, design and execute an omni channel Search & Browse strategy Manager, Product Engineering on our next generation digital services platform.  Manages multiple complex work streams required to execute complex projects and programs that deliver highly reliable systems on-schedule, on-budget, to the committed scope. Provides clear direction and leads Search & Browse team in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard development practices. Identifies opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.


Major Duties and Responsibilities


  • Manages distributed technical product team comprises of Software Developers, QA Developers, Performance Engineers and Operations Developers.
  • Responsible for all design decisions and able to lead the team from technical perspective.
  • Develop technical roadmap for Search & Browse team evolution across all brands and align with Product Owner.
  • Manages multiple complex work streams required to execute complex projects and ensures delivery within scope, on time, and to budget.
  • Passionate about enabling next generation Search & Browse experiences.
  • Identifies opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensures technology implementations are release ready and can be supported in production.
  • Understand technical implications of decisions with ability to challenge direction as needed.
  • Strong communications and presentation skills. Ensures communication and alignment between all teams.
  • Ensures and can provide evidence that projects are meeting milestones and deliverables.
  • Resolves issues, roadblocks and changes, and escalates to Scrum Master as needed.
  • Responsible for IT project budget forecasts/projections and financial reporting.
  • Point of escalation for all technical team members.
  • Drives successful integrations with internal and external teams, including vendors.
  • Maintains technology program roadmap with Product Owner.
  • Ensures team is following all processes, procedures, and templates used in department or organization.
  • Identify for improving any processes or procedures that are outdated or obsolete.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement, change and world class delivery.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent. 
  • Masters degree is preferred. 8 years of Software Development experience, including 1-3 years as Technical Lead.
  • 2 years of experience working with distributed teams.   
  • Experience implementing and running Elasticsearch or similar technology supporting an e-commerce site.
  • Experience building Cloud native applications.
  • Experience working with SpringBoot, ReactJS, Serverless and AWS or similar platform. 
  • Strong understanding and experience leading teams using Agile and Scrum principles. 
  • Experience with automated testing, deployment pipelines and cloud based infrastructure.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of roles and titles.
  • Ability to collaborate, influence and build partnerships.
  • Experience designing and implementing effective process development.
  • Experience applying change management best practices to strategies, projects and programs.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working with Product Teams.
  • AWS DynamoDB, AWS ECS, Lambda, Splunk and monitoring tools (e.g. Ruxit, SpeedCurve etc.)
