JOB DUTIES
Responsibilities include:
Manage the PlumSlice proof of concept project and ultimate implementation of a product workflow collaborative tool to the merchant and vendor communities.
Manage projects to improve pricing intelligence and markdown optimization: Celect & Upstream.
Lead enhancements for existing merchant systems: Joor, PO Manager, PORT, PIM, Oracle RMS, RPM and Allocation.
Participate in other NMG projects that impact merchandising systems: Drop Ship, Digital First, etc.
Champion new systems and business processes, leading the merchants and vendors through the change.
Develop short term goals and long-term roadmaps to increase vendor adoption of Joor and PlumSlice.
Collaborate with other team members and merchants to identify and prioritize system enhancements.
Identify and document business processes changes to improve efficiencies.
Develop training materials and business process flows for new tools and ensure existing documentation is updated as needed to ensure materials are current.
Document business requirements for all system enhancements to ensure functionality delivered by IT meets the business need.
Provide project status updates to Director and SVP. Escalate issues quickly to ensure projects stay on track.
Keep on top of industry trends in item induction and procurement processes by leveraging relationships with other retailers, software providers, vendors etc.
Accountable for merchandising systems sox reviews and gatekeeper for granting system access.
Perform additional tasks as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Strong leadership, management, communication, customer service, and organization skills
Flexible and able to perform in a fast paced, changing environment
Understanding of concepts related to merchant procurement and ecommerce activities
Functional/Technical skills
Strategic Business Process Improvements and Project Management
Progressive with an innovative approach
Self-motivated and action/results oriented
Managing and measuring work
PIM, Oracle RMS and Allocation experience a plus
Project Management experience preferred
5+ years of retail experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
