Extensive hands-on experience in various ecommerce B2B/B2C/Mobilearchitecture, web-services, ESB, networking, performance test scripts, performance tuning
Adapt and follow “everyday is holiday” culture in driving Performance year-around with heavy cloud experience.
Work closely with team members to design and develop shared stress and performance testing tools and platforms.
Develop acceptable performance test reporting and process tools preferably open-source/home grown.
Extremely well versed with front-end web, backend-batch, cloud-based, micro-services and n-tier architecture
Research, develop and present new performance test frameworks and tools
Support Continuous Integration and Continuous deployment and be high contributor in Perf testing code in release cycle year around.
Participate in scrums in design & architecture related discussions, planning and operational reviews with development teams
Report trends highlighting product performance and team status against committed milestones and projects keeping Industry benchmarking in mind.
Adapts existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems
Need to play strategic role to improve process, tools, monitoring, alerts and highly contribute in all initiatives to improve software and hardware performance.
Own RCA for defects raised in software development process using right debugging, stabilization tools and fix them permanently, without introducing new bugs.
Own Performance test road-map including performance modeling, unit performance tests & code optimization, monitoring & capacity management.
Work with the Operations & Infrastructure teams on defining hardware/infra requirements not limited to request based scaling
Suggest & implement proof of concepts on the fly improving Performance standards
Production analysis of performance, availability and capacity using tools like Dynatrace/Splunk/AppDynamics
Min background required:
8-10 Experience in Java, Web & Mobile technologies; implementing Service Oriented, Cloud-based and Event Driven architectures, including support and troubleshooting of distributed architectures with heterogeneous internal and external endpoints
Mentor & coach employees maintaining SDET culture & enabling with right training and caring.
Analyze and design architectural improvements to improve performance, capacity and scalability
High degree of organization and detail
Ability to articulate technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Maintain a clear focus and able to meet deadlines
Extensive experience in performance monitoring, generating & optimizing Performance work-load models, network throttling and analysis using tools such as Keynote, Soasta, Load runner, HP Diagnostics, OEM Java Diagnostic Pack or similar tools
Excellent ability to partner with Architects, Developers, Dev-ops, DBAs, Product and Test to collaboratively fine-tune systems from Performance point of view.
Knowledge of systems monitoring, OS metrics, Sitescope, Diagnostics/Profilers.
Knowledge of data centers, protocols (ex: HTTP, WS, Ajax, UDF) and networking.
Extensive experience with Enterprise Java(J2EE), JSP, Java Script, jQuery, Spring,Hibernate
Experience developing and consuming REST,web services, JSON,AJAX,Canvas and HTML5
Experience and expertise working with databases like Oracle or MySQL
Experience with NO-SQL (Mongo, Cassandra) is a plus.
Experience with Performance tools – HP Load runner/Soasta/Keynote/CloudTest/Loadstorm etc.,
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to read and process complex technical information
Plus to have a Phython or Ruby experience
Plus to have test tools experience Jmeter, Junit, Selenium, Gatling
