The Manager, People Development for NMG is responsible for assisting the People Development team and client groups with strategy, thought leadership, design, development, program delivery, management and evaluation to drive business results. This role will actively research, creatively design and implement effective methods to educate, enhance, and recognize performance. This position will ensure alignment of the company's people strategy with the strategic goals of the business.  

Serving as a "face" of People Development, you will be answering questions, market programs internally, and supporting overall success of people development initiatives. This individual contributor role will have broad scope and utility, specifically partnering with Business leaders, HR Business Partners, Enterprise People Development and NMG leadership to diagnose organizational capabilities that lead to the development, implementation, management and evaluation of People Development programs that result in organizational success.  The outcome you will drive is a high-performance workforce that supports the demands of organizational growth.

What you'll do...

  • Own localization of People Development programs (Development, Training, Performance, Succession, and Onboarding) for client groups.
  • Partner with Business leaders, Director, People Development team and HR Business Partners to execute and manage talent plans for client groups at NMG.
  • Identify opportunities to accelerate performance, developing and executing high-impact talent programs for NMG in partnership with Business Leaders, HR Business Partners.
  • Conduct continuous needs assessment across client groups to align talent plans to training and development needs of the associate population.
  • Manage project and program development and delivery using instructional design methods, industry-leading research, and innovation.
  • Integrate inclusivity into People Development programs and talent practices to foster a sense of belonging and equality for all.
  • Partner with People Development Director and People Development team to lead the enterprise design and execution of the performance management program at NMG.
  • Design, implement and manage organization-wide performance training/capacity building for all levels of associates.
  • Provide key insights to business leaders and Human Resources on performance success metrics and ROI outcomes.
  • Ensure that all relevant teams and stakeholders are current on all necessary aspects of project/program launches & opportunities for collaboration.
  • Research best practices, staying on the cutting edge of People Development initiatives and performance management models.
  • Manage partnerships with external consultants and vendors; including oversight of all costs, investments and budgets.
  • We are all one-team. Collaborate and participate across the People Development, Human Resources teams to contribute to initiatives as needed.

  • You have technical experience in adult learning theories and/or instructional design and development; you are a masterful facilitator and coach with strong diagnostic skills (listening, probing, analyzing).
  • You embrace evidence-based methodologies and have experience in the creation and achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of People Development programs.
  • You have a high affiliation for teamwork and collaboration, open to other viewpoints with a balanced approach to self-directed work to drive results.
  • You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • You have experience demonstrating agility and innovation when faced with complexity and/or adversity.
  • You embrace change and model change leadership, pro-actively developing and driving effective change management methods to increase the speed of adoption of talent programs.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development or related field (Master’s degree strongly preferred).
  • You have 3-5 years of experience in Learning & Development, People Development, Talent Management, or related experience in delivering high-impact results.
  • Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, data methodologies, and e-learning (i.e. i.e., Articulate Storyline, InDesign, Photoshop, Audition, Illustrator, etc.)).
