DESCRIPTION

The Logistics Business Analyst is responsible for transforming data into actionable reporting that can be utilized to make informed business decisions. Daily activities include acquiring data from multiple sources, analyzing data sets, and ensuring database integrity.

The Analyst will collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to help identify and develop reporting based on business needs and opportunities for improvement. They will build, maintain and support department reporting, while serving as a subject matter expert for related tools and platforms.

Responsibilities: 

  • Gathering, defining and maintenance of reporting related data.
  • Analyzing data for accuracy, timeliness and usefulness.
  • Development of reports through collaboration and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Delivering and maintaining catalog of reports based on business needs.
  • Ad-hoc analysis and data modeling projects for Logistics leadership, etc.
  • Assist in standing up enhanced Logistics EDW.  

Qualifications

The associate must demonstrate the willingness and ability to:

  • Work cross-functionally between multiple groups and teams both internal to Neiman Marcus and external carriers/vendors.
  • Ability to work as a liaison between Logistics department and internal stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to challenge and streamline existing processes.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to handle multiple workstreams at once.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet aggressive timelines.
  • Ability to create initiatives based on department’s requirements and needs.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to query/analyze large data sets within an EDW environment a must
  • Tableau or similar data visualization platform experience a must
  • Advanced Excel knowledge including but not limited to pivot tables, slicers, complex functions and formulas, etc.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
