Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee all aspects of our Freight Consolidation work by 3PL’s
  2. Monthly audit of freight Consolidator rates and audit analysis and results and communication to manager monthly with any discrepancies found.  Audit of at least one DC invoice/manifest monthly. 
  3. Assist and help with special projects; from analysis/cost estimates /or savings opportunities / service improvements/implementation and project execution and communication within the organization.
  4. End of Month, Quarter (QTD) and Year to date (YTD) reporting for Domestic Transportation
  5. Pulling together QTD and YTD reporting and completing Quarterly Business Review reporting (QBR) to upper level executive team.
  6. Work with hourly associates in all aspects of transportation (routing, chargebacks, freight payment, capital freight, claims, freight consolidation).
  7. Monthly Journal Entry Preparation.
  8. Monthly Reconciliation of all Freight Accounts (inbound, outbound, freight claims, delivery claims).
  9. Monthly Store Forecasting.
  10. Statistical freight reporting.
  11. Weekly payment of Carrier freight invoices, auditing of the invoicing and recognizing system payment errors and implementing ways to improve process.
  12. Monitor and oversee all freight bill payment issues.
  13. Monthly Freight Detail Report Distribution.
  14. Create reports to aid in traffic analysis.
  15. Oversee weekly and monthly claims reporting to senior management and stores.
  16. Research and general troubleshooting.
  17. Conduct user acceptance testing on new IS/Transportation projects (SmartWay, FourKites, etc…)
