The Director of Media Sales and Vendor Partnerships is responsible for managing advertising and coop sales for all Neiman Marcus media properties including the book, Art of Fashion, NM social media and digital buys across neimanmarcus.com. This position reports into the Vice President of Marketing and is a critical role in driving brand relationships and advertising revenue for the Neiman Marcus, Cusp, Horchow & Last Call brands.
This individual will work closely with Internal Stakeholders in merchandising, creative and finance to develop aggressive Advertising Sales plans and is accountable for meeting these targets. The Director plays a lead role in the planning, budgeting and forecasting process to develop budgets for revenue from ad sales.
The Director is responsible for setting vendor co-op goals for the major vehicles for Neiman Marcus. The Director plays a lead role in the planning, budgeting and forecasting process for projected co-op revenue. The Director will be responsible for creating co-op packages, media kits and other enablement and training materials for our Merchant teams.
The Director will be responsible for working with key Marketing, Creative & Media partners to develop and fund seasonal media campaigns to drive brand awareness and increase store & web traffic around key selling moments
Key Accountabilities
Work closely with Finance to plan Ad Sales and co-op goals
Create action plans to achieve aggressive ad sales & co-op goals
Regularly meet & pitch Neiman Marcus properties to vendors, media agencies and non-endemic partners.
Drive the development of sales support materials and media kits.
Identify new business opportunities, drive kits for new business opportunities (e.g. reach, audience profile etc)
Develop vendor advertising packages for merchants to present to vendors
Manage advertising sales revenue and reconcile with finance for proper charge backs and billing to advertisers
Identify partnership opportunities for funding and/or barter arrangements to support marketing of our key brands
Manage a team of Coop marketing managers ensuring high level of support (including custom program development & timely reporting) to coop vendors & advertisers.
Desired Qualifications
5-7 years in a strategic marketing role
2-3 years in a media sales position with a luxury brand or digital media company.
Strong digital media understanding and media planning
Innovative & collaborative problem solver.
Solutions-oriented with a drive for results.
Master of ad sales best practices, selling techniques & packaging development.
Cross-channel media experience including print, digital, social & TV.
Motivating leader & coach who can drive team to achieve goals
