Neiman Marcus has begun its journey to centralize all its media and is looking for an individual to help manage metadata within our Digital Asset Manager (DAM). The individual will work closely with the Creative Marketing team to verify all incoming assets have the proper metadata and ensure guidelines are followed across the organization. The initial strategy and taxonomies have already been defined, so this role would be focused on helping maintain the daily flow of media between teams. Metadata will always need to evolve with the business, so an individual who can identify holes in how users search would excel in the position.
 
Responsibilities:
Ensure all incoming assets have appropriate metadata
Train internal DAM users and document procedures
Ensure users are following proper guidelines
Identify opportunities for improvement of metadata
Maintain DAM user groups and folder access
 
Requirements:
Cataloging or metadata management experience preferred
Degree in Library Science is a plus
Experience with Cloudinary is a plus
Mac OS and basic Adobe Creative Cloud knowledge
Excellent verbal and written communication ability
Superior organizational and follow-through skills
Strong analytical thinking
Ability to work collaboratively with others as well as independently
